Mary Pat McCullough
Emeritus Executive Assistant, PME, University of Chicago
Mary Pat McCullough joined the PME in May of 2015; in addition to her work with the
UChicago STAGE staff, Mary Pat supports the research efforts of David Awschalom and
Andrew Cleland. Mary Pat came to the University of Chicago joining the Office of the
Vice President for Research and for National Laboratories in September of 2012 as the
Department Administrator. Working primarily with Laurence Hill, (now Senior
Associate Provost), and VP Don Levy’s leadership team Ken Olliff, Tracey Quinn, and
Michelle Terry, Mary Pat served as a liaison to senior administrators, faculty, staff,
laboratory management, DOE personnel, community leaders, as well as other
partners.
Mary Pat comes to the University with more than twenty years of administrative
experience in the Chicagoland area working in private industry, municipal
government, and public safety. Demonstrating her ability to work toward building and
strengthening commonalities in sometimes adversarial environments, Mary Pat’s
experience includes working as executive assistant to the president of the Chicago’s
police union, that position followed her time as meeting planner for the DuPage
Mayors and Managers Conference, a council of governments which advocates for
suburban municipal governments.
